This module governs production workflows, ambiguity resolution thresholds, script density profiles, and pipeline integration standards for the Auteur Script framework.
1. Directorial Specification & Ambiguity Resolution
When transforming rough narrative treatments, treatments, or screenplays into production-ready Auteur Scripts, creators and automated prompt compilers must balance precise spatial specifications against unnecessary creative friction.
The Directorial Decision Threshold
Resolve creative ambiguities using the following decision matrix:
- Explicit Specification Required: Explicitly define and lock parameters only when ambiguity would directly break visual continuity or spatial reasoning:
- Spatial Geography & Layout: Relative positions of key set pieces, doors, and permanent landmarks.
- Character Count & Relationships: Active participants vs. off-screen entities.
- Key Prop Lifecycle: Critical held objects, hand allocations (left vs. right), and handoffs.
- Primary 180-Degree Line of Action: The imaginary axis between interacting subjects.
- Target Format / Medium: Visual medium, film stock, or aspect ratio feel.
- Cinematic Default Inference: If parameters are unspecified and non-critical, safely infer standard cinematic defaults rather than stalling pre-production:
- Eye-level lens perspective with natural focal falloff.
- Grounded, motivated three-point lighting consistent with the environment.
- Natural, restrained physical acting adhering to the “Literal Over Literary” mandate.
- Realistic spatial separation across
frame-left,frame-center, andframe-right.
2. Script Density Profiles & Compilation Modes
The framework supports multiple script density profiles tailored to different stages of production, context window budgets, or rendering pipelines:

4. Sub-State Compression Mode
Merges multiple adjacent Sub-States of the same category within a single Macro-State line into denser, unified expressions without altering other dimensions.
3. Pipeline Integration & Pre-Flight Verification
Prior to dispatching an Auteur Script to a reasoning-based video generation engine:
- Pre-Flight State Ledger Construction: Internally map the scene topology (Continuous Real-Time, Cross-Cut, Montage, Spatial Journey), 180° line of action, and prop matrix as defined in script_supervisor_audit.md.
- Automated Audit Execution: Verify the script against the 5 Script Supervisor Audit Lenses:
- Lens 1: Spatial Geography, Axis & Optics
- Lens 2: Temporal Logic, Framerate & Physical Degradation
- Lens 3: Prop & Inventory State Machine
- Lens 4: Acoustic & Dialogue Architecture
- Lens 5: Block & Grammar Orthogonality
- Format Integrity Lock: Ensure the script payload is formatted in pure plain text, with block headers on their own lines, Sub-States chained with
->, and zero Markdown formatting embedded inside the script payload.
